On Friday evening, Bridgwater United held an exclusive End of Season Awards Dinner for First Team Players, Academy Parents and staff involved with the football club and Community Sports Trust. 

The event, which was compered by the fantastic Mark Peters and assisted by Sedgemoor FM’s very own Dave Englefield, captivated the attention of a 250 packed out audience to celebrate an incredible season of the newly united football club which saw multiple trophies across Senior and Junior levels of football alongside international call ups and progression into the latter stages of national cups. 

The Academy Player of The Year awards kicked off the show before an auction of incredible sporting memorabilia followed by the announcement of the award winners for both of our first teams. The final announcement was for the Luke Buckingham Award which this year went to Men’s First Team Captain Mark Armstrong for epitomises everything that the ‘Better Never Stops’ mantra stands for and represents the club with total respect at all times.
