George King Joins the Robins 
Bridgwater United FC are thrilled to announce the return of midfielder George King to Fairfax Park ahead of the 2025/26 season.
George previously made a significant impact during his initial tenure with the club, amassing over 100 appearances across three seasons. His versatility saw him transition from a technical striker to a formidable midfielder under the guidance of then-manager Dave Pearse. Notably, George’s memorable goal against Farnham Town in the FA Vase remains a highlight for many supporters.
After a season away with Clevedon Town, where he narrowly missed out on promotion, George brings back valuable experience and a renewed determination to contribute to Bridgwater United’s ambitions. His time at Clevedon, coupled with previous spells at Weston-super-Mare, Yate Town, and Larkhall Athletic, has enriched his understanding of the game, particularly within the Western League.
Speaking to Bridgwater United’s media team following his move, Kinger shared his excitement: “Buzzing to be back at the biggest club in the league! I had 3 amazing seasons here before, the aim is to get the club back where it belongs back in the southern league, up the Robins!”
George’s return is a testament to his enduring connection with the club and its supporters. His leadership qualities, combined with his on-field prowess, are expected to play a pivotal role as Bridgwater United prepares for the upcoming season.
