Planning Submission for North Stand

Bridgwater United Football Club can confirm the final design for the stunning new North Stand to be constructed at Fairfax Park. The new facility will help launch football in Somerset into a new era.

The modern and sleek construction will house the football operations for the club including changing rooms and offices whilst also hosting an array of spaces and areas open to the public.

These community spaces will bring the stand and the football club into the heart of the Bridgwater and Sedgemoor community. The proposed layout includes a public cafe that will be open 7 days a week, a supporters lounge and hospitality boxes / suites. The boxes will double as classrooms or meeting rooms and they will be available all year round for the use of community groups such as Carnival groups, support or education groups with the flexibility to host both small and large events also.

The Club has submitted a Planning Pre-Application to Sedgemoor District Council and now await their feedback.

On the pitch, it is less than month to the start of the Toolstation Western League, Bridgwater United FC host National League side Weymouth on Saturday 17th July at 3pm. The Terras, managed by Brian Stock who finished 18th in National League, two places below Yeovil Town will prove a strong challenge for Dave Pearse’s side.

The day will be packed full of family activities including face painting, power striker, and the opportunity to take part in activities on the pitch at half-time. Tickets will be sold at the turnstiles from 1pm.
