Howe’s That? ✍🔴

Owen Howe Joins the Robins ✍️

Bridgwater United are thrilled to announce the signing of prolific striker Owen Howe, who joins the Robins following his departure from Bristol Manor Farm.

A proven goal scorer at Southern League level, Owen arrives at Fairfax Park with an impressive pedigree and a reputation for finding the net wherever he plays. His arrival marks a major boost to the club’s attacking options as we look ahead to the upcoming campaign. Owen has enjoyed four highly productive spells under the guidance of manager Lee Lashenko at Bristol Manor Farm, forming a formidable partnership both on and off the pitch. Across his career, he has consistently delivered in front of goal, hitting double figures in nine separate seasons, and surpassing 20 goals in five of those – a remarkable achievement that speaks volumes of his quality and consistency.

Over the past decade, Owen has plied his trade across the West Country, turning out for a host of well-regarded clubs including Weston-super-Mare, Taunton Town, Willand Rovers, Tiverton Town, Salisbury, Bideford, and Barnstaple Town. His experience and presence in the final third will undoubtedly add a new dimension to Bridgwater United’s forward line.

Owen’s football journey began at Tiverton Town, where he rose through the youth ranks and made a name for himself as a teenager. In 2011, he made history by becoming the youngest ever goalscorer for the Yellows, netting his first senior goal at just 16 years and 153 days old in a match against Exeter City – a record that still stands today.

Club media caught up with Owen regarding the move, and he had this to say: “I’m excited to be signing for a great club like Bridgwater United and I’m really looking forward to the new challenge. I’ve heard a lot of positive things about what’s happening at the club, and I wanted to be a part of it. Some people may have their opinions about Ian, Lee, or even myself — saying it might not work — but one thing I do know is that we all share the same ambition and targets. I’m fully committed to doing whatever I can to help achieve them. Hopefully, I can bring goals and excitement for the fans to get behind. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and getting started.”

Everyone at the club is excited to welcome Owen to the flock and can’t wait to see him in Red and White.

Welcome to Bridgwater United, Owen! 🤝❤️
