Bridgwater go into Tuesday’s home league clash with Wellington well aware that all should put Saturday’s defeat to one side and go again following the loss of their five-match unbeaten run.
Bridgwater United v Wellington
Tuesday 9th November, 7.45pm
Toolstation Western League
Fairfax Park
A number of factors all went against the Robins, without taking anything away from the Millbrook who deserved the victory on Saturday afternoon, but there can be no room for complacency when Wellington come calling with a number of players having pulled on a Bridgy shirt and vice versa.
Tim Legg’s side played out a 1-1 draw at home to Clevedon Town last Saturday to leave them in 14th place having won five and drawn three of their 14 league matches to date. United were comfortable 3-0 winners at the Recreation Ground two weeks ago and Welly are probably still shell shocked by Tom Llewellyn’s 50 yard lobbed goal which sealed the deal but they never roll over and an intense 90 minutes is pretty much guaranteed tomorrow evening.
Before kick-off, the Club will pay their respects ahead of Armistice Day and invite all those in attendance to observe a minutes silence.
