Dave Pearse and Karl Baggaley will be looking for some more of what has been served up in the last two and a half games when they take the squad down the road to Wellington this Saturday for a Western League Premier Division game at the Rec.

A stunning second half fight back from 3-0 down at Millbrook was followed by home hammerings of Brislington and Mousehole which has brought a remarkable 16 goals in around three and a half hours of football and has made the rest of the league take notice.
The squad is still expected to be without the bulk of the first choice defence but despite more than one playing out of position here have been some impressive performances with young Harry Durant enjoying his chance in the first team and looking the part against some potent forward lines.
Wellington will be coming off the back of a 3-2 home victory over Ashton and Backwell United where a double from Jake Quick and a strike from brother Miles got them over the line and gave an 11th place in the Western League Premier Division. Manager Tim Legg does a fine job with limited resources and will be hoping for a repeat of the enthralling clash a year ago where the teams were drawing 3-3 with minutes to go before the floodlights went out and the match was abandoned. He is expected to field former Robin Sam Towler and between the sticks will be young Shay Allen who was with Mo Hopkins’ U18 side until moving to try his luck with Welly.
Supporters are reminded the car park outside the Wellington ground is council owned and patrolled and it is not unknown for tickets to be issued and so the advice is to take change to pay the nominal fee or park further down the road towards the cricket pavilion where it is free.
The U18s South West Counties Youth League game at Torquay United has been postponed while the Women’s First Team also have a free weekend before their trip to Ipswich Town on Sunday week.
The following weekend sees a rare Friday night game for the Robins when they entertain promotion chasing Tavistock at Fairfax Park on 22nd October, 7.45pm and a big crowd is expected for that clash.

Leave the M5 motorway at Junction 26 and follow directions to Wellington. At the town centre traffic lights take turning into North Street. Take the next left adjacent to the Fire Station and signposted ‘Car Park’. The ground is in the corner of the car park.
