Bridgwater United receive a Western League visit from fellow title-challengers Exmouth Town on Saturday, with all within the club attempting to block out thoughts of the recent FA Vase and Women’s FA Cup successes.

Dave Pearse will be very aware of the presence of Exmouth’s Jordan Harris, who has netted 18 times in 20 games and Ben Steer who has 12 in 22 but the Devon club still have Ace High up their sleeves who can still find the net.

Town are currently seventh in the Premier Division with nine wins and five draws so far and are four points behind Bridgy with a game in hand and have in their squad ex-Robin, Jamie Price who has been dual registered with Axminster Town this season and may play a part on Saturday.

Should United pick up the victory tomorrow afternoon and with results going their way, they would find themselves up to 2nd in the table with two games in hand over league leaders Tavistock.

Mike Duffy is expected to be sidelined until the New Year and Nick Woodrow’s injury is still keeping him out but the squad is strong and will contain the 17 year old wing twins in Marcel and Otis Lewis, who have joined the club from SGS College.

Before the game there is the small matter of Father Christmas visiting Fairfax Park at around 12.45pm and with much more going on less than a week before the big day the ground will be abuzz from lunchtime onwards.

Meanwhile match day arrangements are at the early stages for the Fourth Round visits of Tunbridge Wells in the Buildbase FA Vase and Manchester United Women in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup in January.
