The club are delighted to confirm that Bridgwater United FC’s Men’s First Team will be led for another season by the management team of Dave Pearse, Karl Baggaley and Stuart Jones.
Under the stewardship of Dave Pearse and Karl Baggaley the club have had continued growth since their appointment in 2017 and with the addition of Stuart Jones late last season, the club are putting together the foundations for future success.
As part of a club wide review, the structure of the club’s management has undergone minor revisions into how the management team will operate going forward. Dave Pearse will become Manager with Karl Baggaley as his Assistant Manager. Stuart Jones will remain in his appointed role as First Team Coach.
Looking forward to the new era at the club the management team shared their thoughts.
Dave Pearse said, “It’s an incredibly exciting time to be a part of this football club of which I’ve been part of as a player and coach. We understand as a management group that with the changes comes more pressure and more responsibility to deliver results. We are determined to do everything we can to continue the club’s development and push on.”
Karl Baggaley added, “What an exciting time is it for the club with the Women’s, Men’s and academy coming together. It’s hard not to get excited with the upward journey we are all on. I’m proud to be part of it and I am looking forward to working hard to make it a huge success along with Dave, Stu and everyone associated with the club.”
Stuart Jones remarked, “I’m excited for pre-season to start and put our mark down on the league. I’ll be supporting the manager in whatever capacity is needed as well as the players and make sure we are all well prepared for a strong season. With the clubs ambition we have to do our part on the pitch.“
CEO Adam Murry commented, “Having worked closely with the management team, it is clear we have a committed group of people who want to deliver our ambitious plans for football in Bridgwater and the region. I look forward to working with them to help further develop the club, its philosophy and as coaches by providing them with the resources they need to succeed.”
