Finn Hodge Joins the Robins 
Bridgwater United are pleased to confirm the arrival of highly-rated young defender Finn Hodge from Bristol Manor Farm, as preparations continue to take shape for the 2025/26 Western League season.
The club has moved decisively to beat off competition from multiple Southern League sides for Hodge’s signature. Finn, a composed and intelligent centre-back, arrives at Bridgwater with a growing reputation. Last season, he was part of both Bristol Manor Farm’s first team and under 18s setup and the Bristol City Robins Foundation programme, where he stood out across the campaign and was awarded the Player’s Player of the Year. In addition to his experience in youth development setups, Hodge has also tasted senior football, having turned out for Mendip Broadwalk FC in the Western League Division One South.
Manager Lee Lashenko, who worked closely with Hodge at Manor Farm, was swift to involve him in Bridgwater’s early pre-season setup — and the youngster has already made an impression. Speaking about the new recruit, Lashenko said: ““Finn is a top young player, who we believe — with the right environment — could grow into a Step 3 player, maybe even a Step 2 player. The aim this season will be to provide that environment, challenge him, and help him realise his potential.”
Speaking to Bridgwater United’s media team following his move, Finn shared his excitement: “I’m delighted to sign for Bridgwater and be part of a great project. I know this club is under great control of a great manager, and it is a great opportunity for me, roll on the new season.”
With composure on the ball, strong defensive instincts, and a hunger to develop further, Hodge adds quality and depth to the Robins’ backline as the club prepares for what promises to be an exciting campaign under Lashenko’s leadership.
