With their 5-0 drubbing of promotion rivals Barnstaple Town United moved into third place in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division. Should The Robins beat bottom of the table Millbrook at Fairfax Park on Saturday third place will be secured.

That will guarantee a home play-off match on Tuesday evening against the side who finish fourth.

That battle is between Clevedon Town and Barnstaple Town. Both have tricky games this weekend. Clevedon travel to Champions Helston Athletic whilst Barum entertain Buckland Athletic.

Falmouth Town have secured runners-up spot so will entertain the team finishing fifth. The two winners then meet in the play-off final next Saturday with the venue being the home of the highest placed winners. Obviously Falmouth Town must be considered favourites to host the final but anything can happen in the lottery that is the play-off’s. League form goes out of the window in a one-off cup tie situation.

Should Bridgwater be at home on Tuesday, and it is in their hands, then the game will be treated as a cup tie. Season tickets will NOT be valid and it will be all all-pay game. It certainly promises to be a nail biting climax to an already exciting season.
