Bridgwater United FC are delighted to announce the return of former captain Jake Llewellyn

Bridgwater United FC are delighted to announce the return of former captain Jake Llewellyn, who has re-signed for the club following a short spell at Southern League side Exmouth Town. Jake rejoins the Robins just in time for tomorrow’s game against Devizes Town, where he is expected to go straight into the squad.

Llewellyn, a fan favourite and a stalwart of the team, originally joined Bridgwater United in 2017 and quickly established himself as a key figure within the squad. Jake made 241 league appearances for the Robins before leaving in the summer to test himself at a higher level. After a brief stint away, he now returns home, ready to once again don the Bridgwater shirt.

Jake’s return marks a significant moment for the club, with his experience and dedication set to boost the squad as they push forward this season under management Richard Pears and Andy Llewellyn.

The management duo had this to say about Jake’s return, “We are thrilled to welcome Jake back to Bridgwater United. His leadership on and off the field was missed, and we’re confident that he will have an immediate impact. The squad is stronger with him in it, and we’re excited to see him continue his journey with us.”
